Beauty - Lazy Sunday Look

She wakes to glimmering sunlight upon her cheek. The familiar laughter of school-aged children greets her from the cobblestone streets of Montmartre below. Five more minutes are spent nestled comfortably in a bed of well-loved linen sheets before she rises. Then, when she is ready, she allows her eyes to flutter open and receive the view her heart will forever be fond of: the sloped and spired rooftops of Paris.

Sleepily pulling on her favorite button-down and jeans, she guides and tucks her curls away and reaches for the tortoiseshell hair claw. She washes her face, does her skincare, and  begins her makeup routine cross-legged in front of her living room mirror.

She starts with a fresh face. Her skin is hydrated, brows are delicately brushed, and lips are lightly coated with her favorite honey-based oil. Here’s how she achieves the perfect lazy Sunday look for a day at the market:

-EYEBROWS

Her brows are filled in with a dull pencil, starting from the inside and traveling out. She prefers her pencils dull for the most natural look. Then, she expertly applies a layer of brow gel to keep everything in place.

-EYES

Mascara is next: applied from the outer corner of the lash line followed by slightly-winged eyeliner. Her eyes immediately appear wider and brighter.

-CHEEKS

Peach-colored cream blush is her go-to. She places a pea-sized amount of it to her finger before applying it to the apples of her freckled cheeks and blending upwards to her temples. She then highlights her cheekbones and the tip of her nose.

-LIPS

Without looking up from the mirror, she reaches inside of her makeup bag and retrieves a rose-colored tinted lip balm. This is tapped lightly onto her lips, leaving no smudging or harsh lines to achieve her perfect pout.

Et voila - her “lazy” Sunday look is simple, classic, and highlights her stunning features. After a quick breakfast, she pulls on a cozy cardigan and is ready for a day at the flower market with friends!
